During my service on the USS LCI(G)373, I have experince a friendship with some of my ship mates that is going to last a life time. During my stay I was honored to receive five battle stars, and with the Blessing Of Our Lord made it home to my loving family. Read my story.
“The LCI 35 story taken directly from the deck logs beginning with its commissioning in January 1943 and ending with its decomissioning in November 1944. The story also includes supplemental information related to the invasions of Sicily, Salerno, Anzio and Normandy (Sword Beach Landing) including LCI 35 shipmate accounts, personal and archive photos and other related materials. The site also has a page dedicated to the “Landing Craft Infantry Ship” as well as information related to my father’s service in the Civilian Conservation Corps.”
