Hi--My Dad Lt (JG)Joe Stanton (1914-1996) served on LCI 630 as paymaster for LCI (Mortar) Flotilla Twenty-One. If anyone served with him, please let me know if you have any memories of him. He wrote a very interesting account of his days on the LCI's, which I will be happy to share via email.

Is anyone still around who served on the LCI(R)-1024? If so, I'd like to hear from you. I'm 82 so don't wait too long.

My name is Paul Mehr and I am a neighbor of him & his wife Ginny. He passed away April 6,2008. I would like to get any information of his WW II service on LCI(L) 209 from 1942-1944 when he was a radioman on this ship which was also LCI Flotilla Two flagship. Thanks for your help. His widow Ginny would be interested in any comments you might have.

I am the son of Lt(JG) Webster G. MacDonald. Dad served on the LCI(R)74 during the war in the Phillipines, Leyte, and others. I am interested in a photo of the 74 suitable to give to Dad, who will be 87 years old in May of this year. Parkinsons Disease has taken its toll on him, but his memories of the War and the 74 are still very vivid in his mind. Dad never resigned his commission, and served as a recruiter for several years in upper New York. If anyone out there has any info to share, or photos, please contact me at the aboe e-mail address.

My Father Chet Kwasniewski served on a LCI #981 in the Pacific. Landed at Leyte, Luzon, Moritia, Mindinao, Borneo, and a couple of others. He was the Gunners Mate. His LCI participated and he was a member of the Yangtze Patrol after the war, carrying Chinese troops to Formosa. He was the youngest aboard his ship, (enlisted when he was 17) and is still living age 82.
If there are any shipmates who served with my Dad on 981, please contact me ?
